Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Lot Porter to support the daily operations of our marine dealership. This role is essential in keeping our service department running efficiently by moving and transporting boats, maintaining organization, and assisting the team wherever needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, has prior towing experience, and takes pride in being a reliable team player.
Key Responsibilities
Safely move boats in and out of the service department, showroom, and storage areas
Transport boats and trailers between dealership locations, marinas, and customer sites as needed
Assist service technicians by staging boats for repair, delivery, and pickup
Maintain organization of the lot, ensuring boats and trailers are properly positioned and secured
Support overall service department workflow to improve efficiency and turnaround times
Maintain cleanliness and general appearance of dealership grounds
Required Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience towing trailers (boats or similar equipment preferred)
Ability to safely maneuver and back trailers in tight spaces
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Work Environment
Primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions
Active role requiring walking, lifting, and frequent movement throughout the day

Compensation
Position is full time and the pay is based on experience and ability. Starting pay ranges between $18 and $26 an hour. Available benefits include 401k with up to 3% match, paid holidays and vacations, along with health insurance with a large portion of it being company paid.
