Current Watersports is owned and operated by true water sports enthusiasts. Every person on our crew has been around the water and involved in the local water sports community for most of their lives. This passion and love for the water allows us to understand and exceed our customer expectations. We deliver nothing short of a first-class experience.

Sales and Administration
Bill Harney
Bill’s love for the water began with a 1984 MasterCraft Stars & Stripes. He has been on the water and involved in the local water sports community since his childhood. Over the past 20 years he’s owned over 9 inboards. His passion for the lifestyle and past ownership experience helps Bill establish lasting relationships with Current Watersports customers. He knows first-hand what owning a MasterCraft is all about.
Bill manages the day-to-day operations at Current Watersports. Living the lifestyle of the inboard industry for many years before opening Current Watersports has given Bill a unique insight to the desires of the consumer. Bill consistently goes above and beyond customer expectations delivering nothing less than a first class experience. His enthusiasm and love for the industry is contagious.
Jason Haines
Jason started out as a recreational skier that enjoyed hanging out with friends and family on the water. It wasn’t until he picked up a wakeboard in 2002 that his love for the water and lifestyle really began.
After graduating college Jason took a marketing job with the MasterCraft Boat Company, allowing him to work in an environment where he could share his enthusiasm for water sports and make a living. It was at MasterCraft that Jason learned about the superior MasterCraft quality and purchased his first boat, a 2004 MasterCraft X2. Since then he has owned 5 MasterCrafts. During his time at MasterCraft Jason became an expert with the MasterCraft product line and how it differs from the competition.
Jason is in charge of the back office administration duties surround marketing and finance at Current Watersports. You’ll also find him helping with sales. His knowledge of the product line and past ownership experiences allow him to easily relate to customers and potential buyers.
Matt Stapleton
Matt’s career with Current Watersports began during his college years at the University of Cincinnati. As a member of the waterski team, it only seemed fitting that he join the Current crew as a detailer and pro shop associate. After graduating with a Bachelors of Finance and Marketing, Matt joined the MasterCraft Corporate Sales and Marketing team. He spent his time learning our product and process inside and out.
Rejoining the Current Watersports team in 2016 Matt was brought on to manage the Pro Shop and assist in boat sales. Matt is one of the go-to-guys at the shop. He helps with about everything and anything that needs to be tackled. And while he gets pulled in just about every direction — he’s always in a great mood and inviting to our customers
Kelsey Darpel
Kelsey’s been going to the lake with her family all her life. They bought their first MasterCraft X30 in 2012 and she has spent most of her summers at Norris Lake since then. Kelsey joined our team working part time while she was still at University of Kentucky. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and started working in pharmaceutical sales and then went back to marketing. She wanted to be around the lifestyle she loves most, not just in the summers. Kelsey is now managing our pro shop, retail experience, planning events and overseeing the marketing.

Jim Harney
Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. His experiences running other local businesses in the past help us keep things in line and running smoothly.
Jim helps with keeping the service department running smoothly at Current Watersports. We pride ourselves on getting your boat in and right back on the water — Jim helps makes sure that happens as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Bob Setters
Bobby started going to the lake with his brother on his Sea Ray and was instantly hooked. Soon after, he purchased his first boat and he has been on the lake ever since. He was a mechanic for Honda for 17 years and he brings all this experience to Current Watersports.
Bobby’s years of experience as a mechanic have allowed him to adapt quickly to the service team. He helps keep everything on schedule with the day to day maintenance.

Jon Clark
Jon joined the team in 2016 and has been a huge help around the shop ever since. Jon’s family has been with us from the start of Cincinnati MasterCraft. His parents were the first ones to buy a MasterCraft from us in 2009. Jon makes sure your boat leaves cleaner than the way it arrived. He can be found helping in the service area, detailing boats, assisting in the pro shop or running parts across town.

Tim Francis
Tim has been going to the lake with his family since he was a child. He grew up skiing behind a runabout and knew he would always be around the water. Once he discovered wakeboarding and got behind a Mastercraft X-Star, he was hooked for life. Some of his best memories growing up were on the water, and he loves helping customers make their own memories today.
Tim heads up sales at our Louisville location. His product knowledge and dedication to providing exceptional service ensures you’ll have nothing but a first-class experience from the first day you walk into our facility.
Gary Francis
Gary brings his knowledge of maintenance, inventory control, and customer service from over 40 years in the chemical and food industry. He has a love for the outdoors and enjoys boating with his family and teaching youth how to ski.
Gary brings organization to the maintenance and parts area to assure that we can get our customers on the water as quickly as possible. He shares our drive to ensure that we not only meet our customers’ expectations but exceed them.
Nick Bruzzese
Nick grew up on the water behind an old Sea Ray. Those memories with his family gave him his passion for watersports. When he finally had a chance to ski behind a tournament ski boat, he was instantly hooked. As a true buoyhead, you will always find him out at the lake trying to make that next pass.
Nick helps run the service department at our Louisville location. He makes sure every boat leaves representing the commitment and passion that our entire team has for the water.
Chuck Potts
Chuck joined Current Watersports from West Palm Beach Florida where he worked in the yachting Industry in Ft Lauderdale and the Bahamas. Growing up in Southern Michigan his love for the water was evident, from Lake Michigan to Saugatuck to South Haven there was always an adventure waiting on the water but his fondest memories are fishing with his Father on one of the many lakes and streams Michigan has to offer. Chuck’s interests include Kite Boarding, wake surfing and skiing. Chuck is happy to be a part of the Service department at our Louisville location and looks forward to serving our customers. He is always ready to help get everyone on the water.

Greg Rice
Greg started part time in April 2015 helping around the shop and washing boats. Greg has been a huge help around the Louisville shop as a customer care specialist. He’s currently in school at the University of Louisville working on his Bachelor Degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Communications. He was first introduced to the inboard world with a MasterCraft X35.
